In short
- Your recordings stay on your PC. Nothing is uploaded unless you share or archive a clip.
- If you sign in, we store your name, email address and Google account ID so your account works.
- We don't sell your data, show ads or use tracking cookies.
- You can ask us to see, export or delete your data at any time.
1. Who we are
VyreX is made by Mikael Perakoski, an individual developer based in Finland ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact us at mikael.perakoski@gmail.com.
This policy covers the VyreX desktop app, the VyreX cloud service and this website.
2. Data that stays on your computer
Most of what VyreX does happens locally. The following never leaves your PC unless you choose to upload a clip:
- The replay buffer, your saved clips, edited videos and thumbnails.
- Game audio and microphone audio included in recordings.
- Game events used for auto-clip. VyreX reads these from the official local interfaces of Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2 (Game State Integration) and League of Legends (Live Client Data API) on your own machine.
- Overlay data such as CPU, GPU and RAM usage and the title of the song playing in Spotify.
- Your settings and preferences.
3. Data we collect

We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies in the app or on this website. During Google sign-in we set a short-lived cookie that is only used to check that the sign-in request really came from you.
4. Shared and archived clips
When you share a clip, anyone who has the link can watch it. Only share links with people you trust. Archived clips are stored privately in your account.
Clips you upload while signed in are kept until you delete them or delete your account. Share links created by older versions of VyreX without an account are deleted automatically after 30 days.
5. Party voice
Voice chat connects you directly to the other people in your party. When a direct connection is not possible, the audio is relayed through Cloudflare's servers. Voice is encrypted in transit and we do not record or store it.
6. Payments
VyreX Pro is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, invoicing and VAT. We never see or store your card details. Lemon Squeezy tells us your email address and whether your subscription is active. Their own privacy policy applies to the payment.
7. Updates
The app checks GitHub for new versions and downloads updates from there. GitHub can see your IP address when this happens.
8. Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run VyreX. They process data only on our behalf or as described here:
- Cloudflare for our servers, clip storage and the voice relay.
- Google for sign-in, and for the fonts on this website.
- Lemon Squeezy for payments.
- GitHub for app downloads and updates.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. When they do, the transfer is protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
9. Legal basis
We process your data because it is needed to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract), because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and preventing abuse, or because we must keep certain records by law.
10. How long we keep data
- Account data: until you delete your account.
- Uploaded clips: until you delete them or your account.
- Server request logs: kept for a short time for security, then deleted.
- Payment records: as long as Finnish accounting law requires.
11. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Email mikael.perakoski@gmail.com and we will reply within one month. You can delete individual clips yourself in the app at any time.
If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman at tietosuoja.fi, or to the authority in your own country.
12. Children
VyreX is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Security
All connections to our servers use HTTPS. Sign-in sessions use signed tokens, and only your account can list or delete your clips. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you if a breach affects you.
14. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app.
